We certainly are in some unprecedented times with the Covid-19 crisis. This pandemic has caused a lot of people to think about their finances. A recent survey by Life Happens concluded that a little more than 30% of people think that life insurance is at the top of their list right now. It is sad that an event like this causes us to rethink our mortality.

Now is certainly a good time to apply for life insurance. Rates are prob- ably as low as they are going to get. In fact, next year governing bodies may direct the insurance industry to raise rates because of the low interest rate environment we are experiencing.

Apply now because your health may never be better. Some of the fac- tors that an underwriter may look at include:

  • Your current health; how healthy are you?
  • Any underlying medical conditions; heart disease, cancer, etc.
  • Any travel plans – especially foreign travel, this may cause a delay.

From the NSS perspective we have been busy issuing life insurance con- tracts for people. We would be happy to provide you with a free quote and some information. Call your local representative or Joe Elliott in the Home Office for more information.
