NSS Mascot
Introduces Some New Friends
Eager, the NSS mascot eagle, announces that he has some new friends to help him welcome our
newest young members into our NSS “Fraternal Family”!
For the past few years, Eager has been sent to each of
our new juvenile members. Hundreds of Eager eagles have flown out of the NSS Home Office into the
homes and arms of our newest members.
Now Eager is welcoming some new “furry” friends to
assist in bringing newborns and infants into our family. These new friends are called “Prayer Friends” and
will be visiting the homes of new members.
New
"Prayer Friends"
Our newest welcoming committee for new infant and toddler members are
our “Prayer Friends”.
These cuddly little animals include bunnies, teddy
bears, lambs, frogs, girafees, puppies, etc. Each infant or toddler between the ages of birth and
two years old who joins the NSS will receive one of these “Prayer Friends”.
Each “Prayer Friend” is not only cuddly, but when
you press on their tummies they say, “Now I lay me down to
sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep, may angels watch me
through the night, until I wake in morning light. Amen.”
