Joshua Naylor receives Scout Award
Joshua Naylor, member of Assembly L075 has achieved the highest rank that the Boy Scouts of America has to offer, the Eagle Scout Award. He was recognized at a Ceremony and Court of Honor on October 24, 2012 at the Vestal United Methodist Church, where he was officially presented with the Eagle Scout Award. Naylor is the 145th Eagle Scout from Troop 221 to achieve the rank of Eagle and among only 5% of all Boy Scouts to reach this level.
To attain this honor, Naylor successfully completed 21 merit badges. His Eagle Scout community service project consisted of successfully organizing, building and installing five handicap walkways at the Waterman Conservation Education Center in
Apalachin, NY. Naylor has served as the Troop 221 Scribe and is currently Naxiyoke Chapter Chief for the Otahnagon Lodge Order of the Arrow. Joshua Naylor is a senior at Vestal High School where he is a member of the National Honor Society, the Varsity Track and Field team and Ski Club. He is a member of St. Andrews Anglican Church in Endicott and plans to attend college in the fall of 2013 to pursue Civil Engineering. He is the son of James and Jo Anna Naylor.
